Glacier Skills and Crevasse Rescue

Programs that are presented on this page are designed to share the knowledge I have gained over the years, when I started was at the amateur level, now as a professional mountain guide.

The mountains are magic and have many nice things to teach us, but we must start with respect and always be very alert and aware of their magnificence. To develop ourselves well in the mountains is beyond important to know about them, its land, its climate, how the glacier works, how it affects by the wind, the seasons, we also we must not forget that there is a very important and is the technical part, the skills that we can have as mountain climbers, know how to use the equipment properly, know maneuvers and techniques to pass through these giants with all the necessary security.

This 3-day course is a thorough introduction to the bare minimum skills necessary to climb glaciated peaks in a party led by a more seasoned climber. Though the course is designed as a cost-effective introduction, it is also popular with experienced leaders as a refresher course. Continual improvement of our curriculum insures that this course is a good way to keep up with the state of the art.
